RE: ? 2006 GT HOW MUCH ?
Concur with everyone on the X-Plan. GT Premiums usually have 3-5K premium added on to the MSRP out here, but if you can find a dealership that will honor the A, X, or Z plan you pay near Invoice. The dealership provided me with the sheet on my loaded (no Shaker 1000) 06 GT Premium and the A Plan was the best deal and the X Plan was the worse. I say the worse, but I only paid I believe around $140 over invoice, not MSRP; somewhere in the 26400 range.
One thing a lot of folks might not be aware of is if you are Disabled Military Vet, Ford and all of its motor company's (Volvo, Land Rover, Jaguar, etc.) offer X Plan pricing to you. Some of the vehicles do not qualify for the X-Plan pricing. I know for Ford, the Escape Hybrid does not qualify.
You need to be a member of the DAV, so go to the DAV site (www.dav.org) and look for the Partners section to get the proper log-in. Then go to www.forddirect.com and log-in. You can get 2 Pin Numbers a year. When you go to the dealership to purchase your GT, let them know u have a pin number for a X-Plan price and show them ur DAV membership card.
It wound up taking me 14 mos. to get my GT, because at first the dealerships would not honor the X-Plan with the GT, only the V6.
My advice, if you qualify for the one of the Plans, shop around until you find a dealership that will honor it. I know I like the 8K I saved.

I dunno about the xplan etc but I paid 2500 under MSRP (the Ford Direct MSRP) on an loaded 06 GT 'vert here in Omaha and I'm convinced I could've paid 500 less but I found out too late through an email that one dealer would match the others with a "minimum" of 2500 under.
I just went to multiple dealers and played them off each other, ended up at 100 under invoice. Ya, they tried to screw me on my 2000 v6 but I said no thanks and now its on Cars.com and Autotrader if anyone is interested.
