Diablosport Predator

Ok, I just ordered my diablosport predator from MRT direct. I get it and plug it into OBD port-II port. It powers up the programmer and then it says "The application is missing or corrupt". This is straight out of the box. So I guess I am wondering do I have to download the programs from diablosport first? I would think that it would come ready so that I could at least check car codes. One thing I noticed it does right before I get the error is it says "booting stang_05" and goes through a percentage of loading it.

Well I have looked at other websites and really haven't found anything about this problem. Most of the problems similar to this one have came when people were trying to update the predator. Mine came this way right out of box.

It sounds like your Diablo's software is corrupt. Send it back. You can always download the R28or whatever update, but there's no telling whether your software is just incorrect or you have a hardware issue.

Thanks for the replies. I got it late on Friday afternoon so it was already after mrt and diablosport had closed shop for the weekend. I did send an email to diablosport tech support. I tried downloading the r28 version of the software but when I try to do that and asks me to power cycle the unit then I get an error in the DSDownloader saying it failed. Im thinking it is something with the machine itself. Just my luck.

I was able to talk to MRT-Direct today and they are having me ship it back to them. Apparently before they ship one out they install the latest software available and I am assuming they made a mistake there. They said they would fix or give me a new one. I have a question though when i get it back. I have installed the MAC stainless steel straight shot air system GT version. When I get my predator back and it has the latest software update on it do I have to download another version of the software specific to my CAI?
