Default Gas Gauge

The other night was driving and I had a little less than a half of a tank in my car. Then outa no where the gas gauge drops and my alarm thing comes on to say that I hvae 7 miles left! So i rushed to a gas station and when I went to fill up it only took 10 gallons to fill up. Thats about just under half a tank. Since then my gas gauge has a mind of its own....what the hell guys?

I had something like this happen to me the other week. I filled my car up with gas with about a half gallon left in the tank. When I turned it back on the computer didn't realize the fuel I had put in until I turned my car off and back on at my next stop. Other than that I haven't had any problems.

Ignore those gas tank computers and just watch your odometer. Those things are about worthless, unless of course its a $60,000 German car that uses $1000 fuel seders vs the cheezy $10 pieces that Ford probaby uses [&:]
