So What Can A 05-06 GT Beat?
 

I know there are a ton of cars that it could, but I'm looking for the cars in the same price range, $25,000 to $35,000 what cars in that range can this pony run over?

I beat a 2003 or 2004 Volkswagen R32 at the strip with my GT, also killed a 1996 F150 Lightning. And to top it off I beat a 2003 Audi A4. When I went to the track my car was stock except for Flowmaster Axlebacks.

3valve mustangs are slow. I got beat by a geo metro with a 3 cyl the other day:D.

For the price of the 05-06 gt , let's say $30k with lots of options, you will beat
Nissan 350z
Mazda Rx-8
Saturn Ion Redline (snicker, snicker)
Chevy Cobalt SS (laugh harder)
Dodge Neon SRT-4 (better know how to drive)

Lancer's and WRX STi's can give you quite a headache. I have beaten a few, but I have also lost to a few, but I don't know which were stock and which may have been modded.

I not sure of the Dodge Charger. I doubt that we will beat the SRT-8 (425hp), but that's way out of the price range anyway. I don't know about the regular Hemi's though.
Any comments?

It beat my wife's Honda Odyssey. That's around 32k.;)

I drove the Charger RT, 5.7 hemi w/350 hp, before buying the Mustang... very slow launch and feels quite heavy. I think their supposed to be mid to high 14's.

I have also driven a Charger. For me, the Charger seems to be a totally different animal. Four doors, very quiet and doesnt pull quite as hard as the mustang. (magazines claim 0-60 for a Charger R/T is 6 seconds.)

When sitting in the car, I feel as if Im sitting in my fathers caddy, there is no sense of being behind the wheel of a muscle car.

I find the Charger inviting to look at, but boring to drive.[:-]
