I bought the C&L w/ predator from JPC. I install the 91 tune and was using 89 octane for fuel. I wasn't having any problems but went back to ask justin b/c I could not find anyone who sold 91. He replied by saying to put 93 octane in it. So i did and then I started to get smoke at start ups. I went back and installed the 93 tune from the predator and the smoke is gone. My question is after all of that. I went to Diablo's web site and it said midely modified and heavily modified. This is all I've done so far. Is it ok to have the 93 tune with just this mod done? Has anyone else noticed this with their's or anything similiar. I plan on calling justin tomorrow to verify, He is very helpful and take time to answer all questions but is not avaible right now so I figured I would try you guys...

I'll let you know middle of the week when I install mine. It should be in Wedsnday. But I have a CnL and Predator on order. I'm looking to run 87 oct. on the 87 tune, we'll compare notes.

very cool, I just talked to another member under a different post and they had the same issue but it went away when he changed his exhaust. Said it was running rich but after the exhaust mod it leaned it out. I was thinking of going to the 87 tune, but I just filled up with 93 so I'm going to wait. The only other thing I decided to do was change the tune to a 93 tune instead of the 91 hoping it will fix the smoke on start ups. I plan on calling Diablo tomorrow and asking about this issue. I'm gonna find out if it is ok with just the C&L and the 93 tune and what to do to fix the smoke issue if I go back to the 91 tune. I have heard there is a huge difference between the 87 and the 91 or 93 tunes. this is a daily driver though and I'm trying to get the best bag for the tune you could say. I will post tomorrow with any answers I get from Diablo.
