Default 05/06 GT Supercharged

Anybody here supercharged their 05/06 Mustang GT yet?

What kind of power you putting down now (increase over stock)?

What company did you go with?
Price?
Warranty?
Thoughts?
Reliability/issues so far?

I love the idea of the Mustang GT (I've owned 3 in the late 80's/early 90's) and
have been thinking of them again.
For the price of one, I'd consider slapping a low to mid boost supercharger on it as
well as upgrading the wheels/tires and brakes.

But my thing is a warranty. Doing so would completely void the Ford powertrain warranty,
and I'm a big fan of having a warranty.

Thanks in advance for insights/replies.

Then I would not add a sc. Wait until the warranty expires. Any mod you add will not be covered under warranty and some will cause dealers to quesetion coverage (i.e. damanged trany w/ sc).

Thanks guys.
Yes, if there is a "dealer" installed option that keeps the warranty that's
what I'd be interested in if I get the stang.

Tooltime, what kind of boost does the Rousch unit put out?
Have you dynoed the car stock and with the s/c on it?
What other mods did you add in conjunction with the s/c?

Thanks again.

My Ford dealer is installing my KB twin-screw and will honor warranty as long as I don't change the boost or tune. They have even included the SC to be covered by the extended warranty.

Hello. Totally enjoyed your well documented Roush S/C install. Thanks again. Question: With the Roush supercharger installed, is there still room for a strut tower brace? Thanks again and I am definitely looking for a good deal on a Roush supercharger and installing it myself with your instrucitons.

I got mine back from the dealership (Gullo Ford, Conroe, Texas) last Friday. Mustang Dyno stock was 262.7 whp, 288.7 t. Added A Roushcharger and numbers jumped to 363.4 whp and 356.7 t. It does not effect the warranty because Roush steps in and covers the powertrain and if there are any problems they are all handled at the Ford dealership. Service does the repair and then looks to Ford and Roush for reimbursement. Sweet

What's the cost of the Roush supercharger?
Does it include an intercooler?

Is there a link to read more about the Roush?

i'm at 525 rwhp at 6200rpm. procharger at 12-13 psi boost. very happy with the equipment. only advice is to make sure the folks installing it know what the h#ll they are doing. I've had lot's of problems after the install. again, I thinks it's with the quality of the install and not with the equipment itself.

regarding the warranty, the chances of a drive train busting on a stock GT are pretty slim. if you wait until the warranty expires until you s/c, and the drive train breaks, then you are in the same spot as if you s/c it right now.

something to think about.
