Should not be a problem at all. I am surprised that your rev limiter did not kick in. I run mine to 6500 regularly as my tuner set it to 6700. So far haven't floated a valve.

Im not sure what my limiter is set at. I got my tune from brenspeed. So you run yours to 6500??? hmmm.... maybe im just tripping out. Ive hat the worst luck with floating valves in the past.

Dont worry, when driving mine hard i always shift at about 7000rpm. My motor doesnt even sound tight at that. I put in the Hurst shifter in mine so i wouldnt miss as many shifts and it really helped from 2nd to 3rd.

You're right Wadman, during dyno tests my tuner pulled mine on one occasion to 7000 with no problem. Gotta say though, standing next to the car instead of being in it made my butt sqeak at 7 grand. [sm=happy046.gif] I went with a Pro 5.0 shifter and no misses yet!

The pro 5.0 is great. It is a little tricky at first on the 4th to 5th, but you adapt quickly. You will love it once you get it in there. Took my less than an hour, but I have a lift. No crawling involved. LOL....

I've hit 7000 more than once with a S/C.
