I think my muffler's welds cracked because the stock hangers are garbage. When you replace the exhaust on your focus, you may want to get some stiffer after market ones.
Do you have a pic or two? I like the focus...of couse, since I bought one. Do you have the body kit already with the openings for the side exhaust?
I was on FocusFanatics for a while...don't know if you frequent the forum, but it's got tons of info.

I have a bit of a different perspective on the magnaflows...I just installed a cat-back system on my '01, and I think it sounds great. It is not too much louder than stock at idle, but once you get past about 1500rpms it wakes up....and it sounds SWEET..I love it, loud if you want it, quiet if not...
but loud enough that today, not 24 hours after I installed them, in the wonderful city of Glendale, CA, I get pulled over because its "so loud" the cop could "hear you before I saw you".
I have stock everything, h-pipe, all 18 million cats, with a K&N & silencer removed.
I was like, uh, what? too loud? have you heard some of the other cars around?
needless to say, she(yes, she) didn't give me a ticket, but told me to "take it back to where I bought it from and have them change it back"
I guess there are some places in Cali that have noise issues..
now, i'm really glad I cut my stock exhaust in a place where I can put them back on if necessary to get out of any future tix...
any other cali owners have this kind of issue?

I just installed the Cervini's side dumps on my 05GT, and I must say that the sound is great. But then I'am 57 Years old and have been around Jet engines for 30 years so if they are loud to me they must be loud to someone I past. I like the system it installs fairly easy, the tips are hard to line up stright across the side panel but one trip to the muffler shop fixed that problem. I haven't driven my car in 7 weeks due to it being in the shop having the complete Cervini's body kit installed hope to have it back soon.

I had the flowmaster put in and they were way loud. The noise inside the cab was ridiculous! My husband loved them. So I changed it back to magnaflows. Still louder than stock but not as loud as the flowmasters. I know, I know what does a girl know......

Ok I'm asking for some exhaust advice......I'm looking for an Axle back system. I'm an OF (old Fart) I want some deep rumble, but I don't want to scare the sh*t out of my neighbors when I come home at night. [sm=chairshot.gif] Here's what I'm thinking:

Hooker (I'm leaning towards this one) or,
