So, there is a couple people over on the G35forums who've claimed
to have raced 05/06 Mustang GT's from both a roll and stop and
claimed they've beat the Mustang.

Now, I'm a G35 owner myself (wife's car so it's an auto) but
I find it really hard to believe that even the manual G35 would
pull on the 05/06 MGT.
MAYBE a manual G35 vs an AUTO Mustang GT.

But, what has your guys experience been, and anybody have videos?

About a week ago, my roomate and I went to test drive cars. One of the cars he wants is the G35... After spending about 40 minutes with it on the road both riding and driving, (keep in mind that i still had under 1k miles on my GT stang and i have not to this date even pushed it hard yet) the G35 is slower. Not much slower but def slower. I have only pushed my car around 60-70% of it's total power and I still got the impression it was faster then the G35, as did my roomate. Throw in a full 100% all out bolt from the line or a rolling start, and i have no doubt it will be much faster then the G35. The G35 is a nice car though.

my brother has a manual g35 and i have a manual 05 gt. I can safely say the gt is faster, we are both about equal drivers and he has never beaten me roll or dig unless i just miss shift or do something stupid, and if that isnt enough hes gotten in my car and ive gotten in his g35 and we raced and he beat me using the gt, so its not that hes a bad driver or anything, but they are fast cars no dis respect to them.

Put it this way, we beat 350z's, g35's are 350z's + 20-40 more lbs, - 20-30hp..... do the math.

The very first day I bought my stang, I was going to Wal-Mart and a G35 was next to me as well as some Mr2,I believe. I took off normal,but I noticed they was gunning their motors. All I know is that I left them about 1 bus length before I let off the gas. They both passed me as if they were the vicorous ones, but I caught them at a light again. I was right next to the g35. We both took off. I had a goofy/stupid launch, the G35 was about a half car length ahead. After first, he kept pulling on me! Then I hit my powerband and it seemed like someone snatched the mustang and threw me in front. The guy was embarrased, i'm sure cuz he turned off the road we were on and I have a feeling that wasn't his turn. G35 beating the 05/06? Not happening.[8D]

05+GT>G35, My dad has a G35, and it was noticeably slower stock for stock. His car and my car are auto, but his is definitely slower than mine was stock. A local guy took a stock auto G35 and ran 14.1@100, I ran 13.9@100 stock in my auto.

I don't think so!
I think you made a typo there or he's lying through his teeth.
That would be an 05/06 MANUAL G35's time...and even then
still a pretty good one!

I raced a G35 when my 05 GT was completely stock and embarrassed the G35 owner.At the next light he wouldnt even pull up near me. I was laughing.Sometimes it feels good to have 300 ponies under the hood..

Well in that case i dont think a manual g35 would even take a auto mgt, i ran 13.9 completly stock
