Engine misfire at start up. The dreaded engine light.
Got off work yesterday and started her up and nothing happen. Took off minutes later at a red light after doing a serious burnout and being that fastest thing going that direction and then the dreaded check engine light.
I immediately went to the Ford dealership and begged them to check it. Being that it was Friday and plenty of busy they did it anyway.
When they lifted my hood I was like oh boy here we go. I have the C/L CAI underneath the hood. Well the tech read the code
and it was a misfire at start up. I said thats interesting she runs like a F*cking Ape through the jungle(Ha). Anyway he said he had
to run another tune then with a dreaded voice I said it doesn't have the original tune. Then he just stopped and said you will
have to live with it. I was like in shock and felt the sudden face of gloom. Then I requested the Service Manager to speak to after
explaining to him I asked the manager before installation.
Minutes later he came out the tech that is and ran the program. Ohh was I reliefed. The Service Manager later came out and said
that code had nothing to do with the CAI. And the retune wouldn't affect the CAI tune. He said there was a recall on this. Anyway
I finally departed there to get on the interstate which is plenty of busy now and then accidents everwhere. So the traffic
finally cleared and I hit the gas and the car ran very strong as usual and then the check engine light comes on lightly blinking
and the car ran sluggish and then the light went out and the car ran normal again. I was like *hit not again. Anyway I called
the Service Manager and he said the computer could be resetting it self or the coil could be going out. He told me to call if I see
it again and don't worry about it that they would take care of it. So wow! there is a man of his word in the world. Anway I wanted
to share this with you. I have about 22,500 miles on the car and wanted to make you aware of this incase it happens to you. By the
way this same thing happen when I first got the car after a week of owning it. It didn't act up again for 20,000 miles.

Lucky for me I don't have a 2005... Though that's not saying they didn't fix the problem going into the 2006s... lol.
