Default Dodge Charger SRT

The ex-wife found out about my '06 GT, so now she is getting a '06 SRT. I have her beat in the pocket book, so what (besides my much better driving skills) do I need to ensure that I will kill her at the track? I was planning on going with a Saleen S/C + ZEX kit later this year, but is there anything that I can do right now before I upgrade my suspension and brakes?

If you want to stay motor right now I suggest full bolt ons, and drag radials. That will definitely keep you ahead.

She's getting an SRT8? You've got your work cut out for you I've seen low-13's reported on bone stock SRT8's. You may want to go ahead and invest in that NOS system.

For $53k you should be in the 12s. Though the car is still a sedan, and it's heavy... really heavy.

I found an article online that says that the R/T 0-60 is 5.6sec, but I can only find top speed for the SRT (165). So I guess that I should stay away from her until I get the S/C installed[&o] Just checking, but my '06 GT will beat the Charger R/T (350HP), correct?

The guy down the street has an RT and I have beaten him with my stock GT a few times. But you will need some mods to take down an SRT-8. A supercharger would be best.....but I say you need at least 350-385rwhp before its a race. If you go with the Saleen SC with a good tune that should be all you need. Otherwise, a Zex setup should also be sufficient..........but both will be overkill (unless thats what you're lookin for ) The SRT's porkbelly extra 700 lbs will be its achilles heel.........you just need some extra power to get up to snuff.
BTW......what's the deal with u and your ex? A little unfinished business goin on there? Hmmm

Mustang GT vs. Charger R/T = easy kills for the GT all day long [sm=gears.gif]
