Default GT springs on V6

What is the difference?
Is it going to help my ride or will there be no difference?
I would have done a search, but its not working and I need to know kind of quick.

GT springs might be a little stiffer, maybe designed for a heavier car thus the ride will be a little more rough on a v6. And they are no lower than the 6. Ride height stays the same (my dads is like a tiiiiiiny bit HIGHER because of his 18" rims). But yeah, if you want some new shocks/springs take a look at eibach. I think shocks would be identical, no reason to change em IMO.

He is pretty much right on about the shOchs they were designed to support a heavier vehicle, there will be pretty much no gain from them, if u want decent shocks I would recommend tokico d-specs and maybe eibach springs

Why would you want to? What's your intent?

Ok thanks for the info guys.

Nuke, I just want it to have a sportier feel and less body roll. Maybe I should get a strut tower brace or sway bars. Even when accelerating with the little stock HP I can still feel slight twisting.

Then I strongly suggest you give Sam Strano a call or post in the S197 Handling forum where he'll usually respond. He's a straight-shooter and can recommend the best products to suit your needs and wallet. He may even suggest just a shock/strut swap.

I dunno if this is useful to anybody, but I was comparing part numbers and for Eibach springs, although the front springs have different part numbers, the rear springs have the same part number between V6 and GT.

This makes sense since the weight difference is basically just the difference in engine. My point? Rears would lower the same amount, but GT springs on the front of a V6 wouldn't lower the car as much as advertised for a GT.

Thanks Nuke, I'll see if I can't get a mod to move this to the handling section.

Alec, do you really like your rear sway bar?

Tanner, not sure how it would effect your car compared to the power but subframe connectors will get rid of that twisting. They are def. on my to do list!

About the springs, I believe it will sit a bit higher because of the spring rate specific for the GT to support the extra weight. Kind of like putting GT500 springs on your car...
