My sons new 82 Mustang
My son has been building a 5.3L engine that his friend gave him. He was looking for something to put it into. But couldn't find a GM vehicle that was not rusted out or that he even liked.
Then he fell into this, it has been sitting in a garage for over 20+ years, only has just over 78K on it. It's body is pretty much in very good/excellent condition, as the interior, except for the headliner falling down. The seats still have the plastic on them from the factory, except for the drivers seat. The engine has seized since it has not been started in ages.
So the original female lady that owned it said he could have it for $1000, so he jumped on it.He found out that their are kits to install his engine in it..
I posted on facebook on a "Show Us Your Mustangs !" site about it and all the hater comments that I got.. I made the decision to pull the post. Started another and asked that no negative comments be made. But they still are..
I figure it this was......If he wants to put his engine it to get it back on the road, then do it ! I would rather see a Mustang going down the road than rusting away in a barn or garage...
The majority of people that see it going down the road would never know that it has a GM power train in it !
So please don't post any WHAT A GM IN A FORD COMMENTS.........Lets just keep them on the road, maybe later when he can afford it he can rebuild the Ford engine and put it in it...

It's always cool to see a foxbody on the street, as you never really see them too much anymore.
As far as the haters and stupid comments, F em. I drive cars that I personally enjoy, not for the amusement of the general populous. (of whom are pretty much morons when it comes to cars)
As far as the Chevy powerplant, that's totally cool!
Like one of my friends told me... He had been a Mustang guy for years, then bought a GM, can't remember what. Anyway I asked him, "I thought you were a Ford guy?"
He said, "No, I'm a fast and fun fan. If it's fast and fun, I love it."

I finished building my 358W, so since it used a different intake. I gave him my Edelbrock performer manifold, and he bought a Holley carburetor and put on it. He says it runs a lot better than it did with the two barrel. And he gave me his stock ford aluminum valve covers. So I redid them and put them on my engine. Here is my engine in my 68 Mustang....
