Just depends on who you ask. I have asked the same question, as I will be purchasing a mach sometime when I graduate nursing school in may next year. Some ppl say yes, they're bad, some say no, they're not. I would really ask a Ford qualified tech or someone like that. That is what I plan to do.

the gear on the oil pump isnt strong enough from what i understand. so when you put them on the oil pump gets all screwed up. my friend has them on his mach with no problems and my buddy is getting them for his 01 cobra. i personaly dont wanna be the one to take the chance. if you go with a electric water pump you will get the same gains

I dont think they're worth it.... you never know if they'll **** up your engine or not
People over on the mach1registry seem to fear them some seem to have "scienctific" reasons why they won't harm your car.
Honestly, I feel it isn't worth the POSSIBILITY of busting an oil pump just to shed only a COUPLE of horses.
Find it somewhere else IMO.

and +1 for the electric water pump

Ya, I am not goin to risk busting that pump when I get my car. There's plenty of other things one can do to free up some hp.

I have heard the same, some yes some no, As for me I am not willing to take the chance, others have done it with no problems. Although they do say if you are going to get them don't use the piggy back ones. Use the Steeda's

I heard that the steedas are the ones that are bad on the Mach 1. I DOUBT it tho, mine are going on this weekend ill post and let everyone know how it turned out and will keep everyone updated even tho im sure they will be fine. For the power difference, its definitly worth it to me, if i blow anything up its covered through my warrenty anyway!
