RE: 460 in an 03 mach 1
everything will have to be changed. mounts ( i would go with motor plates) plate allow you to set the motor back and down relocating the CG on the car.the tranny will have to be an auto c-6 is best unless you can spend the money on a powerglide. the read will HAVE to be beefed or changed or the torque will turn it to dust after a very short time. Altenator will need to be changed. water pump yes....this would be a very time consuming, and expensive setup...but i can help or the guys on 460 ford could.

thanks a lot man. i'm not even gonna go through the headache. i'm sure a 351 swap would be the same thing right? new trans, pumps, alternators etc. i was thinking about doing that last summer, but it sounded like too much of a hassle.

yeah i already have a blower, and forgedinternals. now the block is cracked, but i knew it would come sometime. it isn't rated to handle all of that power. i've had it forged, and the blower, and all mods for almost as long as i've been driving it[63940k miles, bought it brand new in february 03]. oh well.

LOL, like HP huh.
time for a 5.4 swap just put the 4v navi motor from a junyard in there, almost the same performance 300hp and 380ftlbs, and they have the forged stuff already i believe, if not i think they're strong enough to handle a lot of power.
