The factory wheels is 17x8, not 17x8.5.

You can definitely fit a 275 on the factory wheel. It bulges on the outside, but it can and has been done.

i've run 315 sumies and 315 nittos and haven't had any problems on my 10.5 inch rim. I think what i'm going to do is finish off my nittos at the track and then put the sumies on that i took off previously. Then i will put the MT 275/40/17 on the mach rim after i rebuild my rear end.

how bad is the buldge on the 275's. I want 275's on the rear but dont want a huge buldge difference from the front to the back

Not bad...

I have almost no bulge on the stock wheel w/ 275 Nitto's. But like Nick said, the Nitto's run a little smaller...

But as for the stickiest tire, just like everyone else said, M/T Drag Radial FTW
