2004 Mach 1's listed as SOHC
I was reviewing a carfax for an 04 Mach and noticed in the description:
Engine Type: 4.6L V8 FI SOHC 32V
I entered vins for other 04's and got the same thing. For 2003 Mach1 the engine description is correct. While freaking out and searching to make sure carfax was wrong and my assumptions I found this link with interesting info on the mach 1:

Just thought I would share

CarFax often lumps the Mach1 in with the GT, so that would explain the error. It is indeed a DOHC.
When people ask me if my Mach1 is a souped up GT, I tell them that it is a naturally-aspirated Cobra with a solid rear axle.

392" duration .050 liftof 196 (closer to the navigator intake cams)
.390" and 194 duration ( almost the same as the 99-01 cobra)
Talking about misinformation from CarFax, some auto stores like NAPA, AutoZone, and Advance Auto Parts, also carry wrong info for our cars. All three stores tried to sell me brake pads for a GT and claimed they fit the Machs because thats what was in their system. I finally asked to see some 03/04 Cobra pads and they were the correct pads. Whoever is reporting the info on these cars needs to be checked behind.
