Default Making an O/R H. Questions.

So my friend has the stock H pipe off of his 2004 GT that he took off to replace with a Pypes X. The idea that I had to save money that he's willing to do is to cut the cats out of his stock H, weld up the applicable length of pipe, and use this as my offroad H that i've been desperately searching for, for free, basically.

I know i'll need MIL eliminators, but my question is will i need 02 extensions as well? This seems to be the cheapest route, and when going O/R, as long the pipe doesn't leak, brand doesn't really matter since i'm not dealing with cats.

not sure it would work for the front cats but the rears it will work just fine for. the front ones are on at a curve so unless he has a mandrel bender you're gonna have some ghetto bent/kinked pipe where the front cats were.

We definitely have a mandrel bender at our disposal. I'll be hopefully cleaning up the pipes tomorrow to get ready for this little project. And I still don't know if I need 02 extentions..

i would say you do not need the extensions beacuse when your done its goin to be the same lenght, so the bungs should be in the same spot that they were when the cats were in there.

If you can weld and have a pipe bender, I think you're good to go.

LOL at ghetto bent/kinked pipe, too!

If you really want to roll ghetto on that fly hoopty, you could get some of that flex hose and clamp it in place!

the bung location isn't going to change, no extensions needed. no cats, your MIL will come on, either get MIL Eliminators OR if you have a tuner just turn them off.

You can make you own cheap http://paladinmicro.com/PalMFrame00.htm?wks= Look on the left for DIY mil eimnators, I used these parts and went to a junkyard and bought the ends needed to make them plug and play.
