The traps definitely seem a bit low like said. My trap was a 109 with an o/r H, catback and and paper filter. Good times for your first night out.

I don't shift into 4th because I am just passing the traps at almost redline. Just play around with shift points and you will get used to it all.
were you powershifting? that could be the difference between your trap and the OPs.

God no. I have never powershifted a car in my life. I was actually shifting slow because I couldn't hold onto the damn Mach shift ****. Corrected that with an FRPP ****.
