i got one from circuit city, i had to tap a 12V power source and a ground wire also, only downside is my raido is not functional anymore. i had to take out the center block plug to put the ipod one in there, and i guess it controls the raido stuff. im not too worried about it because all the music i like with no commercials are on my ipod haha, if you want i can try to get the part number and brand namefor that ipod cable when i get home. i know someone on M1R figured out this brand that hooks up to the 460 and doesnt affect the am/fm raido operation. if i remember right it was around 120 bucks though.

Wasn't there an adaptor for that, I remember i big discussion on it at the M1R, you can add this adaptor that will give you a set of RCA inputs to the Mach 460, this works through the cd input somehow, and it does not use FM frequency modulation. I think the adaptors were about 80 bucks through Crutchfiled.
I think itwas more compatable with the 04 than the 03, but that may have been the satalite radio discussion.

There are many different ways to do this. A lot of different kits and adapters will do it in different ways.

I personally have used the Harmon Karndon system with success. You never see the iPod and it sounds decent. It works through a radio transmitter, but the transmitter is inline. It is literally hardwired into your antenna radio. I never had issues with reception. The sound did seem a bit flat with a slight lack of bass but for $100 (then) I couldn't complain. I think the kit is probably about $40 on eBay now.

Hey Guys,
thanks for the input.

Sparks232 - I deffo want to keep my radio - thanks for the pointer though

DesertMach - Yep, I think it was called the DF-Ford 20 USA DSpec or something like that - I had it hooked into my 2003 GT and loved it (before it was totaled). I was going to get the same thing again but crutchfield is telling me that it is not compatible. I thing the Mach460 I have in my 04 is different from the one in the 03 - it has a SAT button...

jmac72187 - Thanks - I will see if I can get a hold of one of those and try it out
