Pulled driver side head and gasket seems ok.

RE: Pulled driver side head and gasket seems ok.
I thought it was a blown head gasket. the car would consume about half a gallon of water every 5 miles. I did a compression test and the 2 center cylinders on the drivers side were 20-30 lower than the outers which would most likely indicate a bad head gasket. The gasket appears to be fine so at this point I'm just going to pull the motor and have it built. I'm taking the head to a machine shop today to see if it is warped a bit.
It sucks doing all this crap yourself but I have good knowledgeable friends that are awesome with this stuff. Pulling the motor and reinstalling it ourselves if going to save about $1000.

I hear you on the saving cash part man.
I'd never taken off my intake manifold when I replaced my passenger side head.
It certainly lets you figure out the ins and outs of the top of the motor in a hurry.
Good luck getting everything back together.

03machme is right. having it forged then putting the vortech back on. my t trim supports up to 27 psi so it will be plenty for future power
