Default (Mach 1+ s/c) = '03/'04 Cobra?

Simple question... I'm curious.... just hp related, forget about the irs,etc...

I am not in the market but seeing pricing dip due to gas and economy..you can pick up a decent mach 1 for about $15K or a Cobra in the same condition in the $22K-$24K range... quite a difference in price....

Thoughts?

Actually... I believe a Mach with a supercharger would probably be a bit faster than a stock termi. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

the cobra is a completely different animal altogether. besides the same "C" heads everything is different ...different cams, Iron block, different intake, 6 speed....the Mach is a power refined....kinda..... car, the cobra is a brute with more raw power than your inbred cousin.

They are different engines like stated. Although they are both 32v 4.6L's, they have many different parts.

Also, the cobra rods and pistons are forged so they can take much more power.

If you are looking for huge numbers easily and haven't bought a car yet then I would go for the Cobra. You can make big numbers with the Mach but you are going to need a forged short block to go over 450 rwhp.

same cams as the cobra. someone listed the part numbers for both on the registry and they are the same.

expect to spend at least 6-8k for FI and a built motor. Then you still have the weak point of the tranny and rear end.

the rear end isn't that bad, the tranny is 50/50 though

If you can afford it go with the cobra.

a built mach is definitely unique and not seen very often so it has a cool factor in my book, but if you really dont want to tear into a motor and spend loads of cash to make the car incredibly fast, go with a cobra.

damn you beat me to it lol. but i agree if you get say a procharger or some other type of S/C i think it would a little faster than a stock termi but all they have to do it get a smaller pully and your done then you have to forge the internals to take much more than 450 or so. if your looking for just ***** to wall power and easy moddablity get the termi if you want something you hardly ever see and will surprise the hell out of a lot of termi owners get the mach and supercharge that bitch
