N/A, Ford production, I'd say were the fastest.

Shelby's and Cobra R's are more race cars to me.

thanks for the comps. Aside from elevation and track surface prep, it's throttle patience off the line. A trick I came across was to find the point in my clutch's release where it starts to engage. Rolling the clutch across the beams from this point (around 2"-3" off the floor) instead of a sudding release yields a more gradual surge of hp to the wheels (less spin) and much less abuse on the drivetrain. I'll raise the RPM to around 3k and while gradually hitting the gas I'll roll the clutch for a couple of feet. Took patience, a good five runs to get it down, and went against my instinct to floor it, but my 60' went to 2.0x and then 1.9x, it was a better way of doing it. I shift at 6k to 2nd, 6.2K to 3rd, and 6.4k to 4th (if not already crossing the line). Oh, and tire psi 22-25. I hate giving pointers, don't want peeps thinking I think I'm a knowitall. Good luck bro, be sure to let me know if my methods to my madness work out for ya. And lets get a better pic of that bad **** yellow Mach of yours!

Some shockers in there....13:1 compression (ouch!), 4.11 rear standard (snap!) resulting in 110 mph top speed (yawn!), 5/10 mpg (gulp!), 25 lbs. lighter than our Machs (damn!). Technology is a wonderful thing. Really cool, thx Rebel.

i wouldn't be to concerned with the compression, they didn't have the gas we have today.

i wouldn't look to much into compression especially the compression of the 60's 70's, where i con't comment on the top speed they did only have 4 gears and 3 gears in the auto.
