have a 03 mach 1 and mods include Mac longtubes, off-road X-pipe, SLP Loudmouth catback, JLT true cold air, intake spacer, SCT X3, now i am looking into getting the crower stage III cams and wondering if they were going to be to much for my set up. any info would be great...thanks

you've got the upgraded intake/exhaust to compliment them, I'd say you're sitting pretty. Make sure you get the beefier springs an such that are recommended with them.

From what I have read, Stage 3's would be overkill for the street. Stage 2's would be better.

The stage 3's will move all the power up top and you will lose a lot of low end.

You sound knowledgeable on the subject...as usual. Have you heard or read about the power gains? Think I remember reading 30 hp somewhere, but that sounds low for the price paid. I guess to some, that sweet lopey sound would make up for it though. Thx.

I dont think stage 3's will be overkill. Stage 3 cams deliver the power between 3200K - 7200K rpm. Last time i checked i dont race at under 3200 rpm. His is right it moves the power from the bottom end and has a strong mid and upper power. Stage 3 is your choppy lopy super agressive cam though and it comes down to preference. This to some people it is overkill. Its personal opinion IMO.

I am not completely sure of the gains. The little of know about cams is just from reading and not from experience.
