+1. You can safely up the boost on the car if it's been properly maintained. It'll take a lot more than you're throwing at it safely and reliably. It's not made of glass.

i've heard 400 hp was about the limit on these cast engines but i thought they meant 400 hp at the crank. My engine's at 382 already and won't take much more to be at the breaking limit right? or is that 450 rwhp your talking? and I have a 3.00 and a 2.85 pulley. Would i have to retune it if I swapped? the guy said he would only charge $150 if i went back but i'd rather not.

Everyone thinks you have a Mach 1.. they think you only gained 30whp with a S/c and stuff lol.. No one is Reading ur Signature... Plus the way you are listing all of your posts, (MACH 1 Convertible DYNO RESULTS) At least say ' FACH 1 Dyno Results" You are confusing people....

and there are MANY MANY MANY people with 400whp GT's(stock Motor) rolling around. But its your Preference to what HP you want your car... You can get ALOT more out of it if you want. But i havnt heard very many good things about the S/c u are using

yeah your right... I googled my supercharger and themustangnews.com dynoed their stock trim gt with the saleen series IV and it only made 298 with a stick shift. they changed the stock air cleaner and throttle body and it made 324 rwhp. Considering I have an automatic that should be about right on the stock pulley. only thing better I had then that would be my exhaust. And i'm sure it puts out a little more than 306 now that i replaced the O2 sensor because it definately runs better.

My goal was to look and drive like a stock mach because I think they're cool looking. I would have bought a mach but I like convertibles for the "B's". I have reached my goal and am done with ford. Time to grow up and move on to a Chevy.
Why do that? Just buy a Terminator, I'm sure you will be happy.

I do think they're cool but I admire an engine that can easily make 500 hp without forced induction. an 02 z06 will definately be my next buy. i graduate in 2010 and get my 2lt bar so i'll make that my grad gift to myself. At 22 yrs. old, i aint complaining.

I think your fwhp is more like 360 (360 x .85 = 306). That's still 100 hp over stock. You doin' alright in my book. Nice car bro, and sounds great too.

If I keep the RPM's between 2-3,000 I get 25-26 MPG HYWY.
Sure, it will light up the first three gears if I get into a little boost.
'97 Saleen Cobra w/ Vortech SC.
About 550 rwhp @ 10 LBS. of Boost. It is just S-O-O-O Hard, to stay off of the
"Happy Pedal!"
If it is DRIVEN, I get around 17-18 MPG.
(I can live with that.)

Eric

P.S. Turn up the Boost! LIVE!
