Default Any of you guys with LCAs...

what do you think about them for the Mach? I put lower control arms on my S197 due to wheel hop, and they all but eliminated the hop issue, as well as helped a lot with street traction. I'm having some serious traction issues with my Mach, partly due to the worn out Goodyears, but I'm considering LCAs to compliment some new rubber. Any thoughts, experiences, or suggestions?

Not sure, Sace. The 09 had mad wheel hop before the LCAs. My 60' didn't change, but the LCAs remedied the wheel hop from a dig as well as going into 2nd. On the street, the GT all but dead hooks from a 1st gear punch (no rev on launch or dumping of the clutch). This Mach lights up the tires from any speed under 20 mph, and smokes 2nd if I shift hard. I didn't even want to take it to the track last weekend because of it. I figured it would just **** me off, lol!

I got a set of Maximum Motorsports non-adjustable LCAs but haven't gotten around to install them yet, I have heard nothing but great things about them.

Whoa, thats enough said right there. I'm going to go ahead and order some and slap them on. I'll let ya'll know within the next couple weeks what they do 60' wise, and on the street.

I can't speak for everyone, but I had a lot of adjustable suspension parts on my Z28. To me, it was kind of a pain because everything had to be re-tightened every so-often. Adjustable parts are a very benefical on lowered cars, but if you're not lowered, I would stick with the non-adjustable stuff for less maintence, imo.

Yeah thats a crazy 60' i may just got order it to. I agree on the non adjustable. Unless your seriously racing is it necessary to have adjustable? Not sure? The lighting up of the tires at will is fun but makes you want to set your car on fire after a few 2.3-2.4 60' passes.

thread hijack alert. Quick question. It seems they are mainly for decreasing wheel hop. If a Mach is lowered but suffers no wheel hop at all, how else do they benefit to justify the cost? And the cost of those MMs....darn. Yeah Stone keep us posted on how you feel with them. Thx.

You're right Rygi, they are mostly for wheel hop, but with the reduction of that comes traction. I've heard/read that its not the arm itself, but rather the soft rubber bushings in the stock LCAs that cause the wheel hop, etc. The aftermarket LCAs all come with harder poly bushings, so you may actually be able to get away with simply swapping the stock bushing for some poly ones (not sure). Allegedly, the stock control arm does a good bit a twisting/flexing, so that makes me want to do the entire unit instead of just the bushings. There are some on AM for around $150. I used the same brand on my GT with positive results, so I don't think its neccasary to spend the extra loot on more expensive ones.

I'm not sure about their benefits on lowered cars, unless you do relocation brackets, in that case I can see them planting the rear wheels much more evenly...
