Dumb question... Is the shaker scoop functional?

BTW - Gorgeous car without a doubt. If I could swing it I'd ditch my 97 Cobra in a heartbeat for a 03-04 Mach...

Maybe to provide cooling to the blower(depending how Furinox set it up) but not like stock, one guy made it fully functional over at SVTP though.

I have the front underside of the scoop cutout so that heat gets vented through it. The blower gets so hot that in my opinion its much better to vent out the heat that to put air onto the filter.

Absolutely correct, mines gutted too, I got a piece of aluminum that I cut out and painted black to place on the shaker opening when it rains.
