I have been wanting to go the supercharger route as well but isnt boost terrible for these high compression motors?

I want power but i would rather have my motor intact....

8 or 9 pounds of boost won't hurt a thing. Go higher than that, and then it becomes an issue.

while i love the KB sound and performance, the price is a huge deterrant. a P1sc or a Big Pulley D1sc will do more than you ever need. oh and the motor is not lacking in lowend torque...

No it doesn't...

FWIW the high compression isn't the issue here, its the crap castic things attached to the forged steel goodness (ie the rods and pistons)...there is a guy running 6.40's @213 running a 4.6 mod motor with 11.25:1 compression. if you had forged guts i would keep the 10:1 motor ensure plenty of fuel got to the pistons and have as little quench as possible to ensure a complete burn. i guess you could run ~10psi-12psi on pump any higher i would run some race fuel. or you could go the way of the cobra and have an 8.8:1 ( i think) and slap some TT's on it and have equal fun.

Actually the Terminators have 8.5:1 compression due to their dished pistons. I have the same compression ratio on my Aluminator, because it has the same pistons as the Cobra, duh. LOL! Granted, if the CR was a bit higher, I could be cranking out closer to 600rwhp without making any other changes. But, by the same token, I can safely run higher boost levels than most, plus if I want to get really squirrely, I can put my 100 shot of nitrous back on this sucker without having to worry about the added pressures. I think somewhere around 9.5:1 would be just about perfect for a blower motor.
