The Saga of The Mach continues...
First off..
I got my baby back baby back baby back...i got my baby back baby back baby back....
hahaha
anyway..
So yea, I dont know if anyone around here remembers me at all, but i recently got my car back. 2004 Mach 1. Oxford white.
The car was originally purchased on March ( i wanna say 2nd) or maybe the 4th... 2004. For some reason I have yet to figure out, my dad let me pick this car out when i was 16.
The car has been through Hell AND High Water. Trust. I ripped out 2nd and 3rd gear over the years. Plus a wrist pin gave out a few years back and the car now has brand new motor. About 4K miles on the new motor so far. Its still the factory motor, just got a new one.
The transmission has been rebuilt by RPM Transmissions outside of Indianapolis, IN. They built my dad's tranny for his 1000+whp vette. And they guarantee there stuff for ever.
The car sat idle for about a year and a half while the motor and transmission were being done. Then i got it back in '08 for about 6 months or so. But was paying $400+/mo on insurance.
My dad took the car back since i couldnt afford to pay insurance on it at the time. It sat for about the last year or so now. I moved out of my dad's house and have changed my insurance to where i can afford my Mach again.
So as of 2 weeks ago (today) I am finally the VERY proud owner of a 2004 Mach 1. Only took 6 years to get the car titled and registered in my name, but hey.... I got it!!
The car is still pretty much all stock
Current mod list:
Bassani Headers
Bassani catted x-pipe
Bassani axle-back
UPR Blue thunder Adjustable Shifter
C&L Intake
Thats it for "performance".
Ive got sequential tail lights too.
The exhaust was 100% free because at the time my sister was a Bassani Babe (2004) and they needed a car for the FFW show in Bristol, TN. they sent me the exhaust and me and my sister took the car to the show. The shifter and intake were purchased at the FFW show. Lights were not done until '05.
I'm not sure what direction to go with the car. I'm on a tight budget until probably June or so when i switch jobs. I'm thinking that since i've replaced the motor and had the transmission re-built, I should go ahead and replace the clutch. I'm sure it needs it, its the stock one and i've beat the living **** out of it over the years, but its still holding on like a champ!
Anyway, Questions? Comments? Indifference?
I guess you guys will be seein more of me again now. I felt like a tool trolling the Mustang Forums without my mustang...but i can do it now and not feel like an idiot!!
