Default Possibly Purchasing a Mach 1 and I need advice!

Hey everybody! I am looking at an 04 Screaming Yellow Mach 1, 5 speed. It has 62,000 miles, Steeda short throw shifter, Steeda CAI, 4.10 gears, MAC prochamber mid pipe, Magnaflow magnapacks, Diablo tuner, tinted windows, tinted taillights, Steeda strut tower brace, Steeda subframe connectors, and a stage 3 clutch. It had the transmission professionally rebuilt at 51,000 miles, it hasn't ever been in the snow, the current owner has owned it since it had 600 miles and has always used Mobile 1 full synthetic oil. Every part on the car was professionally installed. The only things wrong are a very small tear in the drivers seat, a small (nickel sized) part missing from the stripe and it needs a new clutch cable. I am going to look at it soon and I was wondering what I should look for or ask him when I look at it in person? Do you think it is a good deal? The asking price is $13,500 but I think he is negotiable. Thanks for your opinions and help!

I'd say that 13.5K for price is in the ballpark at least for the mid-west area pricing. If you could possibly get it for 12,XXX?? Then i'd jump right on that because that would be a buyers deal. Although 13Kish, you prob wouldn't regret it either because its still priced "fair". It helps also when the car has been well taken-care-of and everything has be done professionally. Why was the tranny rebuilt at 51k? (Just wondering) Good Luck

I don't know why it was rebuilt but I decided to pass because I want one with less miles and that wasn't beaten on. I found one that is and 03, torch red with 39,000 miles for $13,000 o.b.o. I prefer the red to the yellow and looks like it was babied. I plan on keeping what ever mach 1 I buy for a long time.

Well you know more about the sale of the car than i but 60some thousand its bad at all. Those engines if mantained correctly could go 250K++ lol. But having the trany rebuilt imo would make me question why before i pursuited. SO this red mach?.... is it stock as well? Because the you'd you right away that it was beaten. Plus if so, it'd be a safer pick.

All that is done to the red one is eibach lowering springs, a K&N air filter, and black bullet wheels, other than that it is all stock. I kind of like that because I can choose the parts I want to put on it.

I can relate to this ^^ Lower miles, less mods, less price. I personally am not a fan of yellow. RED

I believe they only produced 768 Screaming Yellow(lowest production color) Machs and 3772 Torch Red(highest production color) Machs; so thats something to think about... Stock is good, get what you are most happy with.
