Default SUNDAY!!! SUNDAY!!! SUNDAY!!! track day!

So Finally at the end of the season Im finally got a weekend to go to the strip. And I'm hoping to runs 12's!!!! with my new secret weapon (26x10.5's) and a drive shaft loop for safty. But I have never run slicks and was hoping for some advise normally Ive either dumped the clutch or slipped it (both with massive tire spin) to my current times of 13.3(best) Ive got the 2step set to 2800 right now and thats were im gona start and move it from there should i dump the clutch or try and slip it( ive got stock axels) so I know rygi has low 12's so im looking for some tips.
thanks and wish me luck

You're going to have to raise the rpms on your launch. You will dump the clutch, not slip it.

With your secret weapons you should be cutting some good 60' times

....on slicks your 2 step needs to be around 5500-5700 other wise your gonna bog and be really really slow out of the hole...if your on the stock clutch Slip a little as well...im trying to save your axel's clutch and trans with the little slip.

You're gonna have to raise that 2step RPM a bit. On another note, I might have to start using that feature on mine.

Watman I didn't see gears in your mod list. If you dump it with slicks and 3.55s you WILL break your axles. If you slip it fast with 3.55s they'll eventually break and you will bog, costing you no less than .3 IMO. Stage, lift the clutch pedal a couple inches, raise the rpm up to 5-5.5k, and roll out the clutch while keeping your rpm up the whole way out. With 3.55s, all the way out is probably out well past the 60'. With my 4.10s I'd say I'm out 30' before I'm off the clutch. I swear it's not as manly doing it this way and it takes some pride swallowing to do it but darn it pays off on the timeslip. Ain't tryin to preach, just wanna hear about you rippin **** up when you come back with an update. Have fun brother and good luck.

the 2step is set right now for my street tires I plan on making a few passes on both wheels just to come back nad show a comparo.
rygi: I was wondering if my axels would hold or not so I wont be dumping the clutch I'll have to work on the roll out you were talking about the weather is supposed to be mid 50's to low 60's with sunny skys so hears hoping for good track conditions.
thanks for the input guys I'll post back with some killer times!!!!!!(hopefully)

bad news my best of the day was a 13.1 @ 107 with a 2.06 60' on street tires!!!!!!!!! I found good burnout and a 3300 to 3500 rpm drop clutch launch got me the best times of the day.
Now to the 26x10.5's arrgh f*ing terrible couldnt get a better than 13.5 with the slicks they would grab right off the line but within a couple of feet they would light, then came 2nd gear total wheel spin every time I ran 4 passes with them all with the same result a 2.3 to 2.4 60' WTF.
Dont people run like 8.0's with 10.5 tires???? my buddy also made 9 passes on them and got a bunch of 1.8sec 60's a alot of 13.1 and a 13.0 last year he ran a 13.5 but now he hase LT's and ET streets. I think he should have rans faster but what do I know.
today was 60f and sunny with 5mph wind track conditons seemed to be ok.

So you were spinning with the ET streets but your buddy was doing good with them?
