Havent yet sold items:

Mac prochamber- ~200
stock manifolds- ~75
Alternator- ~75
stock driveshaft- ~50
stock cobra HE- ~100 (but Ill probably keep as backup)
EGR parts- ~50

Do this math and I end up being a hair under 7k into the car.
I can afford the car, I have been for almost a year, I could have had it payed off in a year... If I didnt mod it...

$1350 for AR Longtubes + catted x pipe
$620 for first install
$711 for second install(gaskets blew out...)
$360 Accufab ywin 60 mm TB(took off the car)
$5xx Wheels
$750 Tires
$230 JLT CAI
$340? i think for the SCT tuner
$400 for FRPP Cobra clutch and supporting parts

= $5261 roughly...

To install 3.73 gears and bearing rebuild kit and trac lock rebuild at TMS(The Mustang Shop) it would be about $800 ( I would be doing everything because I am not sure exactly what the problem is, I think it is the bearings...)

Wow! Those guys at TMS charged you more to replace gaskets than to do the complete initial installation?? And they're charging you $800 just for installation of the parts and the diff rebuild?? Yikes!

Just did an online quote for insurence and for a 94 civic base + a 86 porche 944 its only 180/ month... Makes me want to cry a little.

Im still not fully into selling my car, im just trying to consider what I really want and I think this will be fun. I can always buy another Mach down the road when I get a better job, besides in a year or so when I am done with school I will be moving out and then will not be able to afford my Mach anyways... I realise now that instead of buying wheels and "mods" I should have just payed it off lol. Live and learn I guess.

I know a young guy who put an LS1 into a 240sx. He is still working out a clutch issue, but with street tires and a bad clutch it traps 121mph. He has it set up with race suspension so it handles real well for the track events he runs. I think a 944 w/ LS1 would be a sweet project.

Be sure you have the funds to do it right though. No point starting that project if you can't do it correctly the first time.

With insurance rates like that, you must have some point on your record...

don't waste yout time on a 944...unles you are getting the 944 turbo (951) which i hand one hand me my tail pretty handily on high boost, but if you are doing anything like that listen very closely.
2nd gen Rx7 and LS2 with a Turbo II rear (they come with 4.10s)

LOL, yeah I will be getting at least a 944 Turbo (preferably an S1 or S2) because I dont have to swap a T-56 I can use the stock Porsche (turbo) transaxle which holds up to 400 wheel tq. RX-7's look funny(too bubly) and 240's require a T-56... The swap is very straight forward(what I read lol) and renegadehybrids.com makes a LSX swap kit which is all directly bolt in and fabricated parts.

sounds to me like you've put a lot of thought and good bit of research into all of this, Ive thought of selling mine multiple times and whenever I think i have myself convinced she changes my mind... good luck regardless though... and should you decide to sell any of your parts and put it back to stock some before you sell shoot me a pm, I would be interested in some of your aftermarket stuff haha
