Sorry, I have to ask as well...what do you have done to her? That ET/MPH is hella good for a regular street tire. I think I'd have to welcome ya to the 12.1 club if you had some good rubber. Sorry OP for getting side tracked, I'm sure you'll get something out of this thread.

The responses are good, hey rygi are you running consistent 12.1's?? or was that just a freak run? Because you are very close to 11's. We have more or less the same mods except for the long tubes and rubber so I am trying to model my car after yours. Is your suspension stock?? springs?UCA/LCA??Axles??

Kooks longtubes, Kooks o/r x, Magnaflow magnapacks, C&L cai, Roys 1/2" spacer, FRPP alum d/s, FRPP 4.10's, H&R supersports, MGW orange handle, ran on 18x9/18x10 fr500 reps with 285 sumitomo htrzII's.

Car weighs 3635 with me in it. I have no weight reduction and Im still untuned. The traps consistently in the 110-111 range. The e.t's are not quite as consistent because of traction issues and such. My last trip to the track I ran 12.8-13.1 with a slowest trap of 110.58. never cut a better 60' that a 2.07 and usually cut 2.2 60's

The car runs very well and shows improvement every time I go to the track. I am a firm believer that it should be very easy to run 11's without getting into the motor. Just some well planned bolt-ons and some seat time should get you there. If this car goes 12.1 with stickies I will do some weight reduction and get it to the 11's..then its time for a 100 shot.

Again OP, go to the track and establish a baseline and work from there. Getting an N/A mach1 to go 11s in south florida is probably almost or just as expensive as an Eaton swap or maybe a pieced together vortech kit(both can get you 11s with some tires if you can drive), considering you can spend 4k easily on full exhaust, intake, gears(maybe even a rear build considering you will have to launch hard), spacer, tune and some suspension. Log into stangsofsouthflorida.com and see what guys down here are running and with what mods, there might not be Mach1s but you can get a great idea based on their weight and power.

Ran only once w/ the LTs/catted X. It's the only 12.1 I ran that day but I wouldn't call it a freak run as my short times stunk from not going to the track for over 6 mos. More seat time and consistent short times would make the good runs more common. Cut a 1.66 60' that day but somehow managed to miss 2nd, lol. I'm still dreaming of what the run coulda woulda shoulda been. Here's my top runs from the last two trips to the track. Oh, suspension is all stock, works just fine IMO.

You and I mod alike and think alike. I wish I could go o/r but emissions is tight around here. Your spacer and driveshaft are on my wish list as well, 3/8 spacer though. Improvement each trip to the track is key, that's what keeps the fire burning. I've beat my best the last 5 or 6 trips to the track. Great times man. Get some good rubber!

Just putting some skinnies on the front should get you 2 tenths. You could do it the poor man way and put 2 spares on.

Skinnies help, but man it's kinda like cheating, lol. In FL heat they may be required for 11s for all I know. 2 spares is DANGEROUS.

LOL
I agree with the 2 spares being dangerous. Those things are not rated for that kind of use. I would never run that set-up to try and shave a little time off my ET.

I wish I could get a pair of skinnies for a reasonable price. Cost is too high!!!

Thanks again for the replies. Im going to stick to getting the short throw shifter, drive shaft, springs, and rubber. Then I will evaluate my car and take it from there on what to do next.
