Exclamation Should I buy this Mach 1?

Here is the link:

Please read the description! The engine has been replaced and I am unsure about buying the car because of that. Thank you for the advice guys! I'm also a member of cobaltss.net which is a great forum and I'm hoping the forum will be the same or better!

i would be leary of buying a Mach with a replaced motor. why was it replaced? If you do consider buying it would take to a dealership to check the car out and see if it's the right motor for the car (4 valve DOHC).

I also would check to see if the warranty on the motor is transferable. The warranty may only be for the original purchaser.

Honestly, i wouldn't feel comfortable with that. You just don't know what you're getting into. I've seen similar deals on Mach 1's with similar miles, that didn't have the engine replaced.

Welcome to the board!

Actually, if it were me, I would buy it. Even if the replacement engine sucks, I would buy the car to fix it up right.

Yes, but ask some of the questions the guys before me brought up AND 18k is too much.

So is the price $15k or $18k? Either way, a face-to-face meeting with the owner and a test drive is a must.

I would offer 14k for it but yes I would buy it. Only after I found out why it was replaced and checked out who did the work. Its too bad there's no pictures with the hood up to again make sure it is a 4v motor. I picked up my mach with 16k miles and the motor had already been replaced...now 50k miles later not a single problem. My friend happen to know the guy that did the work so that was some extra points in my decision...good luck and welcome
