Default 88mm turbo on stock internals

I have a 04 mach 1 5 Sp in the process of getting parts to turbo. The shop I'm using for the install is wanting to use a 88mm turbo To give room to expand later with forged internals. My questions are Wouldnt a 88 be slow spooling at the 8 to 10 psi that's gonna be used?

goto a different shop, that turbo is way too large as a standalone.. by the time it spools up you'll have to shift.

even with a forged motor that is to big of a turbo a single 60 is big enough for a stock motor but with plans on going forged and if you dont mind some lag in the mean time go with a 67mm
