Default SVT Cobra bumper on Mach 1

Hey guys

im writing from the uk and i actually own an 04 Mach 1 which i shipped over back in 2006.

ive seen a few pictures of Mach 1's with the 04 SVT cobra front bumper on it and always thought it looked kinda cool, but seeing as there was nothing wrong with my existing bumper i could never convince myself to do it.

HOWEVER!!!!!! after lending my car to my best friend for the afternoon, it came back with no front end on it!!! so i was thinking that maybe this is as good a time as any to try the cobra bumper.

My question is, has anyone on here done it? and does it require any additional hardware or messing around to get it to fit? and does it sit underneath the hood correctly etc?

Any advice you guys could give would be great thanks.

Also i think the hood is damaged beyond repair, is this a genuine ford only part??

Mike

If you are looking for a stock hood, you might check MPS Auto Salvage - they specialize in Mustang parts - http://mpsautosalvage.com/sunshop/ . They are located in Georgia.

You may be able to get the Cobra front bumper from a 3rd party company, not sure who (Cervini's, maybe?).. Good luck!

I bought mines off LMR (Late Model Restoration). It wasn't the OEM Cobra bumper but a knock off. It fit perfectly and I had no issues. I also bought the spoiler, bezels, foglights and everything else needed from LMR. See below..

Yes I've seen that late model restoration site, that looked pretty good and had most of the stuff I need to get my car back on the road. It's been out of action for a few months now!

Thanks very much for yor help guys I'll check out those sites.
