Default Installed new TB, idle is high

Hey all, long time no see!!! So I recently purchased a BBK 65mm TB from the American Muscle car show, at the scratch and dent tent. I just got around to installing it today, and I must say there's a noticeable improvement in performance and acceleration. What is also noticeable is that the RPMs really hang now, when in drive and in park. I know these motors are designed to hang their RPM's a bit when decelerating, or when you come to a complete stop, but this car will hit 20mph when my foots off the brake and it's idling in drive (1100rpm although I have it set to 700 on my diablosport tune) When pulling into my garage i blip the throttle and it tries to take off and I jump on the brakes and it'll hang around 1600 then finally drop. I changed the TPS and it didn't effect anything, so at a loss of what to do.

I'll post a vid as soon as they're done processing.

This sounds like the throttle body needs some adjusting. Are you running a Bama tune? If so, give the Bama team a call and they can make some adjustments to your tune that will benefit the throttle body and idle. You can also see about cleaning the throttle body and see if that helps!

Let us know if we can be of any assistance!

I am running the diablosport can-tune for 93 octane, do i need to get it tuned to work? Is there something I can do with the idle screw? Also it seems the TPS on the Throttle Body doesn't load up on the spring like the stock tb. What i mean is when I put the TPS on the stock TB i have to turn it slightly and hold it to line the holes up and secure it. On the BBK it slides right on with the holes already lined up, no tension at all. I checked the volts with the BBK it's .5 and with the stock it's .94 if that helps. I put the stock TB back on as I can't drive the car safely through my neighborhood!
