Cruise to the summit (Kancamagus):Postponed Date TBD
I'm planning a Mustang only cruise on Sunday June 5th. It will meet on rt 95 at the NH/MA border rest stop at 10:00am.
*95N to rt 101W
*101W to 93N
*93N to Exit 32
*Lunch in Lincon NH
*Kangamangus pass (3000ft with incrediable views and backdrops for photos)
*Arrive at Attitash mountain for an afternoon of waterslides/alpine sliding.
*Dinner at Attitash and depart for home 6:30pm
I'll be bringing my semi-professional camera equipment in the hopes of getting some great shots of the group.
I know this is a hike but its well worth the drive for the kang's views and 230 degree tight turns. Just curious if there's any interist from any of you in doing this?
Second thought is making it an overnight deal. Drive up on Sat afternoon/evening for dinner. Crash in Lincoln, and start fresh in the morning on the kanc?

I'd love to do the Mt. Washington auto road, but the weather at the top is always a crap shoot but you can depend on cold temps and crazy wind 100% of the time...not where I want to bring my baby.
Also, unless its closed off for racing, its not a fun road to ride on, bumpy and too tight when passing opposing traffic.

Agreed. I'd rather not worry about trading paint with some 17 year old in daddy's suv going carelessly in the other direction on the narrow road (saw it happen last time I was there), plus as noted, it isn't like it's going to be pleasant at the top anyway.
