Default OFF-ROAD Mid pipes in MA

For those of you that have the off-road midpipes, how are you able to pass inspection in MA? Do you take out your midpipe and replace it with the catted mid-pipe just for the inspection and replace it back to the off-road pipe after you had your car inspected?? Or do you go to a place that dont check??

I have an OR pipe and I have MIL eliminators they plug into the o2 sensors and trick the computer making it think you have cats have not had any issues with then at all.

It depends on the year. For you new edge guys the MIL's are a great choice. Second after that would be the non-fouler trick.

I drove straight from Pete's to an inspection bay (61 miles) and passed no problem without cats.

Even still, if the inspector is a jackass you can still get failed, but thats obvious.

I'm late on this, but they will prob do a sniffer test, if they do then no MIL will make you pass. In which case you need cats to pass a sniffer. If you are only doing safety, then you can not have a CEL on or they will fail you right off the bat.

I'm pretty sure there has been no sniffer tests done for a while if the car has an obdII port which is for 95+ years

I know a dyno tune works hehe!

I thought I remembered that about them changing it but wasn't sure. in that case get MIL's and as long as the place isn't a d!ck and your car doesn't smell up the place then you should be good.

It's hit or miss on the 05+, some had success some didn't, I used non-foulers and they work
