Default "Funny" day yesterday

Textbook example of irony:

Dropped my sister off at the local hospital to visit one of her friends yesterday. As I'm leaving, there's a group of guys hanging out by their parked cars, apparently waiting to pickup their wives/girlfriends from some sort of class. One of them motions me to stop and makes a bunch of positive comments about my car, especially noting how perfect the wheels look with the color scheme.

I end up stopping and chatting for about 10 min, give them the underhood tour, etc, then go on my way.

Less than ten minutes later, an old geezer with a POS minivan, decides to make a right turn from the left lane, with no signal, despite the fact that his rear quarter panel is just even with with my front bumper. I end up having to curb one of my wheels to prevent the blind old twit from doing a Shad style remodel of my front fender. Of course at that point gramps regains his vision, sees what he did and guns it to get away.

Right front wheel no longer even close to "perfect"

I meant funny/strange given the coincidence, hence the quotation marks. I don't think shelling out to replace a perfectly good wheel is funny at all
