I'm very open to budget at this point, but trying to stay under 30k. The lower the better, but it just needs to be fun to drive, and good in snow. Therefore no RWD cars here.

the new AWD Fusion? ecoboost and AWD...don't know if you've seen that or even like it for that matter but it's an option

oh, didn't read that you wanted manual and mod-able

Yea, doesn't meet either of those 2 criteria, haha.

I have yet to see a slightly used evo go under 18,000. Those seem fun to drive.

I've read some reviews that say the new Focus ST actually doesn't have a lot of torque steer, and that the computer-controlled "differential" works well. It's still there, but it's a low amount. I think it would be worth a test-drive at least. My Mazdaspeed3 had some strong torque steer, but better engine mounts and rubber helped fix that somewhat. The new models aren't much better. Now the Saab 9-3 Turbo, especially the Viggen, had some nasty torque steer. Step on the throttle and it felt like it wanted to yank your arms out of their sockets!

As for Evos, are you looking exclusively at Evo X, or are you including Evo VIII and IX? I don't think I've seen a IX or X go for less than $18,000 that wasn't wrecked at some point in its life. I've seen a handful of VIIIs go for around $18K.

Infiniti G35x/G37x Sedan? They are AWD, (I think) they came with a manual, and they share the same engine as the 350Z/370Z, so there's a ton of aftermarket stuff available for them. The G is a cruiser, but it doesn't take much to make one into a fast cruiser.

I think the 350 cars are ugly, and the 370's are too expensive.

I like the Evo's, but to get a decent one at a decent price its like 5 years old, the STi's I've been looking at are 2011's and under 30.

However step 1 is to sell mine, haha. I really want to drive an Abarth, but they aren't around yet. 180hp in a car the size of a can is sweet. Plus a turbo and a FMIC make it moddable!

If it's not on the lot yet, it should be soon:

Ever since watching that episode of Top Gear UK when they reviewed the Abarth I've wanted to drive one. Also, knowing that Michael Schumacher owns and loves that car because of how fun it is to drive may have something to do with it.
