Ok, makes sense.

Of course we'll see on the '15. I'm trying to stay optimistic that the 50th anniversary car will measure up.

I hear you! No matter what I'd still probably be looking at the 11/12 GT500, unless the 13 takes a huge hit for some unknown reason.

I'd be all for an ecoboost model. I mean the freaking 3.5TT's get like +60/100 with a freaking tune!

The only way I see the '13 taking a price hit is if awesome goes out of fashion

Hey everyone, so I'm selling my Pype Bomb muffler deletes that have only 500 miles on them for $250 if anyone's interested. I'm in Andover so basically to any Boston area I don't mind driving a bit to sell it. Let me know if anyone's interested.

Well, I got bored tonight and decided to swap over the fuel level sender onto the GT500 fuel pump setup I picked up from Brian. Let me tell you, I hope I never need to do THAT again...

The senders on these cars are a nylon housing attached to a thin stainless baseplate. The plate has two sets of small parallel slots which hooks that are part on the nylon housing go through and grab the tiny bar between the slots (grab hard, and not meant to come off)).

Getting the darn thing off the old donor pump was a totally nerve wracking expecting those stupid plastic clips to snap at any second.

On the bright side, Ford saved at least 2 cents per car going with cheesy clips instead of a couple small self tapping screws...

Now I just have to wait for the gasoline resistant shrink tubing I just ordered from McMaster-Carr to show up so I can re-insulate the sender's wiring spade connector.

Agreed.

Yeah, you definitely won't be needing to add a GT500 wheel to a GT500

Yea, I also couldn't because you have to cut the connector to use with a pre 2011 car. So on the plus side whoever buys it can just plug it in!

I will say, what a difference a steering wheel makes. Car no longer feels like it was made by matchbox

Seconded (have one on mine too). Highly recommended to anyone using the standard '05-'09 wheel.

Only issue is making the volume buttons work is a nightmare, just wasn't worth it for me to do!
