Find a good deal on one or is the T-5 falling apart from the tq?

A bit of both... the fifth gear synchro has been getting a little cranky of late, and I found a decent price.

Sweet. Going with a new DS as well? I'd imagine they are different lengths.

Yeah, have to, as you said, different lengths.

Not even really using the shifter above, just need some parts from it. I'm leaning towards the MGW adjustable one.

Never heard a bad thing about MGW's except the price.

But I'm a firm believer that in 95% of the scenarios you get what you pay for.

Yeah, the MGW is a beautifully machined part, so I understand the cost.

I really like being able to decide what tradeoff between throw and smoothness I want with that one.

I don't care about throw reduction really, so if I ever got an MGW i'd have it at the largest throw possible.

Nice, I'd love to put a 6060 in my car.

Imagine how much more you'd love it if you were putting up with a T5. Clunky transmission even when it's working like it's supposed to be.

well considering that I came from driving 2 standard rangers and my brothers standard f250, the mustangs t5 would be a dream lol, but I know what you mean. Dare I say it but the mt82 in my dads boss makes my 3650 feel like garbage.
