Default Looking for IRS, trading my solid beam for independent rear suspension

Hey everyone I'm new to this forum. I'm from the north shore area and I have a 2004 v6 mustang automatic that I have been working on all this past winter. I've been poking around to find someone to trade me my solid beam rear end for an IRS. Popular in the drag racing scene I hope someone is looking for a solid beam to put into their drag car. My car only has 70k miles on it and has no rust. Email me if you are interested! jamie.rynkowski@yahoo.com

Hi Jamie,

If you're talking the stock axle that came in an '04 V6 car, that's going to be at tough sell for a trade. The V6 cars come with a 7.5" axle, and no one with a Cobra (the only 'stangs of that vintage with an IRS) is going to want a 7.5". If they swap the IRS, they're going to an 8.8" or even 9" for strength.

You'd be best looking to make a straight purchase, but if you can find one, it won't be cheap.
