I would go with Sport springs, the Ultimate sway bar kit (you will also need 555-1061 hardware kit), and tokico D specs. I would also add an upper strut mount kit if the current mounts are showing wear. That'll dramatically change the handling of the car, but as you said, for spirited driving good wheels and tires are key, if you are pushing it hard enough to roll the sidewalls under you are going to benefit from those almost as much as from the suspension parts above, though you may just have older tires that have softened
