He's just being protective; you can't blame him, he's your dad. You sound like you've got a good head on your shoulders, you've got plans for the future for both yourself and your car. Nice. More proof you deserve the car you've got now. V6 or V8, your car is still quite a number; I personally love aesthetics over performance, but I like to get a bit of both when I can. Car projects are long and nice, before you know you'll have that V8 and no time.

my parents said the same when i had my 96 3.8, then somebody hit it and paid just as much for a 97 GT and surprisingly my insurance when down. it just wont be pushing "to high horsepower" till next year with the PI swap

18 and ive owned 2 mustangs so far all my friends at school are so jeleous
