New guy here, just thought i'd post pics of my car. 2006 EVOLUTION IX MR. I bought it brand new in October 2005. Just recently added some new mods, and got the car tuned. below is a list of my mods now.

MODS: JDP SE CF Lip, ETS V2 LICP, ETS intake, ETS UICP, Megan 02 housing/3" DP, Mil.Spec 100 cell cat, JDM IX rear, Spark Tech COP, HKS Carbon Ti exhaust, Buddy Club Racing Spec Coilovers, Stoptech Slotted rotors, Russell steel braided brake lines, ACT HDSS/Streetlite Flywheel, Ingalls Stiffy, HKS Type-1 TT, Hawk HPS, Walbro 255 fuel pump
Stock 1/4 mile time: 12.82@107.41, 1.86 60' @70k miles on stock clutch

I washed it this morning, and decided to take some pics of my car and a couple with my brother and his 330xi. I'll be heading home later tonight, so i'll be taping the front end up to keep the bugs off. enjoy the pics of the 166k mile beast.

Nice man! Evo's are probably my favorite cars other than mustangs. My buddy has one with the HKS blow off valve on it and it sounds nasty. Have you heard that one before?

I like the way the stock BBS wheels look with the car. if anything, I may just have these powdercoated black.

yeah, that HKS BOV isn't very good for our cars. they don't hold boost very well, and aren't that durable. the best BOV for the EVO is the stock IX BOV or the JDM 8 MR BOV, which is the same thing.

Well, 167k now haha. I've tried to take good care of the car because I put it through hell on a daily basis even between autocrosses/track days.

haha nooooo never. I'd never drive a mustang. I think they are very good looking cars. I love the Terminator Cobra's, and the 2011 GT's are badass. that said, I've never been impressed with the way they handle. I haven't driven the new one, but i will say it looks like it's 100x more capable around a corner than the models before it.

to be honest, I really just joined this forum to keep an eye on the competition haha. all the things i've read and seen about the 2011 GT, I wanted to see what these were capable of in the real world. The honest reason I picked now to modify my EVO is because up until now the old GT was a joke, and pretty much all mustangs before it besides the Terminator and the GT500. Even those at autocross weren't anything to be afraid of....but now, the 5.0 GT with 400+ hp and such a cheap base price...well let's just say the though of getting beaten on the hwy by a 17 year old in the car his daddy just bought him/her was something I couldn't live with lol

i've got enough power now to outrun them in a straight line, and i've never really had to worry about them at the track so i'm good.

ah i miss my evo...not really though...i miss evos in general just not mine XD i would love to injure the person who owned my rs before i did cause that was supposed to be my dream car and it just ruined the experience for me cause there was sooooo much wrong with the car...that 1/4 mile time is great!! my tuner was being a jerk and wouldn't adjust my 2 step so i was launching at 5k and got a 1.88 60' with a 12.8@109...that was on a car with 100hp over stock...e85@30 psi peak...clean evo man you on evolutionm dot net?
