Default BJ auction, Scottsdale PICS

Went out to Barrett-Jackson yesterday.
It was the usual spectacle, with drifting exhibitions, the dyno drags, robosaurus, and all the vendors and Ford displays.

There didn't seen to be anywhere as many auction cars as usual and few of the real big buck cars, if any. I didn't see a single Boss. The only hardtops were shelby's and Mach1's. There were a few early verts.

I posted a few pics, mostly to give a look at what was happening, not just car photos. Watching the dyno drags was interesting for a short while. And drifting is kinda cool in person, I wouldn't watch it on TV.

They actually did drifting. At Palm Beach last year they said they would have drifting and it ended up being slalom course for the Z06s and other cars.

I've heard the number of mustangs being auctioned has dropped.

Yeah, they had drifting. I didn't hang around for robosaurus.

That is interesting about the GM cars, I sure didn't see all those vetts. Maybe those cars weren't on display the first day.
I think they should keep the cars and sell the management.
GM had almost no presence in the main tent. It was really a Ford event.
Ford didn't take the bailout so that says something.

If you like trucks they had a real nice Bronco - super straight and 37" tires.
A SCORE 4 wheeler and several ****** jeeps.

Several nice Tbirds and a Fairlane Galaxie 500 from the late 50's.

Interesting list. I can't get too worked up over most of them (94 Impala?). But this one I could go for...1970 Olds 442 W30. The '70 442 was one mean machine.

I have been following the auction since yesterday. Tivoed the thing and they have way too many commercials! They do just 3 or 4 cars and then show 3 1/2 minutes of commercials!
I got the catalog last month, but all those GM cars aren't listed in it! So I'm surprised at how high the prices they are getting for those cars, but they need every cent they can get. I just wish they'd show more Mustangs in between all those Vettes and Bel Airs.

I also noticed a lot of other cars were added to the auction but are also not in the catalog and I wonder if that's due to the economy staying so bad.

Has anyone seen the 2010 GT500 that they are going to be selling? Let us know if it's the actual car (check the VIN) or a pre-production.
