Talking New Ecoboost - Questions

Hello Everyone - Im from South Africa and just received my ecoboost a couple of days ago.

I have noticed that my LED daylight running lights are not working - and I have read somewhere that it was removed for the South African edition - not sure if this is true? Can someone maybe confirm?

My tail lights are also not sequential - my indicators blink like a normal car - only one light. Any ideas on why this may happen?

Otherwise I am very happy with the car,

Beautiful car there.

I would talk to dealer and see what they say.

Stupid question but are those taillights stock? They look really neat and a couple of my friends have this model but I haven't seen them. Maybe just the angle?

Actually models delivered overseas are different in many ways from the US version. Your outside mirrors are way larger as well in addition to all the items you mention above. You also don't have the hood vents like US models because of pedestrian collision regs in Europe.

I have a question I was wondering if you could help me with. I have done at least a dozen mods. Could you please tell me if I put the car in the S on the gear shift an ride around town if this will damage my transmission. I noticed that when I am driving in this gear that all the gears shift automatically. I just wanted to know if I can do this. Thanks Karl

It won't hurt your transmission, it is designed to do that on purpose. That is the sport mode which keeps the transmission in gear longer if you get sporty with it. You may have noticed that if you are driving slowly from stop sign to stop sign for an example that the trans stays in low gear and acts like a manual trans. You can also use your paddle shifters to shift gears in sport mode. Once selected, the car will only shift with the paddles until you put it back in drive or restart it. It is a great transmission.
