Mustang hood issues.
You seem to have a great deal of knowledge and this senior thanks you very much for taking time out to give me your info. I will start looking for the 2015-2017. I just hope they don't have those hood issues. It's a huge turn off to see that Ford doesn't care about their buyers. If you have any other suggestions please let me know. You can go through this site or through email. Lou

the 2010 is not a good choice is because it's the new look, same drive-trains as the
05-09; that didn't change till 2011.
2015+ is all new; new platform (S550), little wider, little longer, little heavier.
The only way I'd take a 01-04 would be if it was garage kept, and I could keep it
that way. They rust out bad in the rear, the fuel tanks fall out. Those are SN97s.
The 05-14 are all S197s, with '10 starting the new look, then another change in 2012
up front. The 05-09 Shelby versions have the similar look. So, the style was already
there, but basically standard later.
I have an '08, and it's been fine... I missed a 2012 for $4800, I would have gotten it had
I worked out the logistics sooner...

My friend, Your info has helped me out so much. I was about to change my mind on buying and start to look for a Camaro . Now i will look for 2015-2017 Mustang. I will keep my post up just to see if anyone else wants to chime in though. Lou

I got the 05-09 style, because it's a good balance of retro & modern styling. From what
I see and read, it's the more popular generation. It's just too bad they lack any real
power unmodified.
The 15+ is just too expensive, no matter what motor is in it. I would not drive it enough to
justify that expense.
If I come across another '12 or the like, for $4800 again, I will buy it, and swap the front
end stuff out from my 08 to the '12, then sell the '08 with the newer look. So, I will retain
the 05-09 look, but have the better power-plant.
